The Jury is ready - Are you?
D-1 before the final of Linie The journey 2018.
The candidates are obviously starting to get nervous, and the jury is getting excited !
The jury is also ready. We have asked them a couple of questions about their current projects and their expectations. Check it out:
Alex Kratena:
Linie : Alex, could you tell us what are the main projects you are working on for the time being?
Alex : We just opened a bar in South Korea in partnership w L’Escape Hotel, working intensively on opening our own project in London and already started planning next Edition of P(our) Symposium. We got couple xtra suprises too!
Linie: What are you most looking forward to during the Linie final?
Alex: I am super excited about reveal of Yvonne’s new Aquavit as well as chatting with Ivan and learning new things about the category and production. And obiviously met the candidates and taste their creations.
Carina Soto Velasquez:
Linie : Carina, could you tell us what are the main projects you are working on for the time being?
Carina: Today I’m working in developing our last restaurant Les Grands Verres in Paris.
This year we opened our summer terrace and potentially will turn in a winter « chalet ». Plus the inside restaurant.
Linie: What are you most looking forward to during the Linie final?
It's the first time I’m judging a competition with Aquavit.
I’m very excited to finally discover how bartenders are working with this Norwegian spirit and understand their creative process, palate and how they interpret the flavor of this spirit category, that fascinates a lot of bartenders around the world.
Monica Berg:

Linie : Monica, could you tell us what are the main projects you are working on for the time being?
Monica: We just opened a bar in Seoul in partnership with L’Escape Hotel, as well as working non stop with our own project in London. We are also in the beginning of planning the fourth edition of P(our) which will be amazing.
Linie: What are you most looking forward to during the Linie final?
I'm looking forward to see the competition bigger and better than ever!
I was incredibly exciting to see all the country finals this year, and really see the differences ( and similarities) between the countries!
I'm sure we’ll have an amazing final !
